February 6, 2019
Dear Parents,
I hope this update finds you well and enjoying a warm and cozy winter. We have finished up our Catholic Schools Week celebrations and are now busy with our continued learning and activities. It was wonderful to see you at the Catholic Schools Week activities. A special thanks to all the teachers and students for their hard work to ensure that our celebration was successful.
You may notice a new look at the top of this letter and many others that come home from school. Thank you to Melissa Halk for her design of our new school logo. The students and staff members were asked to vote, and the design that you see above is what was chosen. You will see this logo gradually becoming more and more visible.
It’s that time of year! Time for re-registration and to complete the FACTS tuition assistance applications. All families are strongly encouraged to complete the FACTS applications. If you have done so already, thank you! If not, please call the office right away to make an appointment or go to https://online.factsmgt.com/SignIn.aspx to complete this on your own. The deadline is February 15, 2019, for financial assistance for the coming school year. Additionally, we are asking that parents complete the letter of intent to return so that we can adequately budget and plan for the coming school year. There is a non-refundable $20 per family re-registration fee that will be applied to the 2019-2020 school year’s tuition.
To stay informed and monitor your child’s progress, I strongly encourage parents of students in grade three and above to download the mobile app for Genesis. This is our student information system and electronic grade book. It will allow you to have instant access to your child’s grades and progress. To find the directions, please visit our website www.olmcapnj.org under the parents' tab to find directions on how to install the mobile app to access Genesis.
A reminder that there is no school for students and staff on Monday, February 18th in honor of President’s Day. Thank you for your continued support of our efforts here at Mt. Carmel. Please share with your friends and family members all of the great things that are happening here. Check out our Instagram @OLMCBlueKnights and Facebook page, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School to stay up to date. Please like and follow our pages. I am so proud of our students, teachers, and families. Looking forward to continued spiritual and academic growth.
Yours in Christ,
Theresa Craig
