Diocese of Trenton Social Studies Curriculum Guide

Mission: The Diocese of Trenton envisions the Social Studies Curriculum as an integrated study of the social sciences and humanities. Consistent with the teachings and principles of the Catholic Church, students will develop the skills and intellectual curiosity needed to understand the events that have shaped our nation.

This curriculum provides multi-faceted opportunities that afford the students a better understanding of their interdependent and diversified world.

Students are encouraged to become life-long reflective thinkers. They should mission interpersonal and participative skills promote peace and justice in our local communities, state, country and the world. The ongoing aim of the curriculum is to enable students to understand the past, to apply it to the present, and create a better future.
